Kevin M. Boisselle, CPA, PFS
Partner
Mr. Boisselle began his career in public accounting in 1986. He was certified in 1990 and educated at Western New England College. In 2002 he became a PFS (Personal Financial Specialist), the first CPA specialty designation accredited by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Boisselle has built an excellent reputation by providing outstanding tax, accounting and consulting services to his clients which are largely comprised of individuals and small to mid-sized closely held businesses. In an effort to more completely serve his clients, Mr. Boisselle is developing his PFS specialty by consulting and assisting clients with their retirements, investment and financial decisions with the same degree of professionalism and quality that his clients deserve and have come to expect.
Mr. Boisselle has passed the Series 7 NASD exam (General Securities Representative Examination), the Series 63 NASD exam (Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination) and the Series 66 NASD exam (Uniform Combined State Law Examination). He has also successfully completed the Life examination and the Accident & Health examination, both of which are sponsored by the Massachusetts Division of Insurance.
Mr. Boisselle is also active with community organizations. He is a past board member of the Springfield Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants. He served as treasurer for the Children's Museum at Holyoke, Inc. and is a past president of that organization. He also serves on the board of directors as the vice-president and the treasurer of Children First Enterprises, Inc.
Robb D. Morton, CFM, CMA, CPA
Managing Partner
Mr. Morton has 24 years experience in public and management accounting. As both a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant he offers an excellent source not only for technical accounting and tax issues but for management advisory support as well. Mr. Morton has also earned a Certificate in Financial Management from the Institute of Management Accountants. Mr. Morton has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Maine and a Masters of Science in Professional Accounting from the University of Hartford. He received a Masters in Taxation degree at the University of Hartford in May 2003.
Mr. Morton currently serves as Treasurer of the Employers Association and is a member of the University of Hartford's Barney School of Business Alumni Advisory Committee. He is a Past President of the Springfield Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and has served two terms on the organization's Board of Directors. Currently, he is the President of the Northeast Regional Council of the IMA. Mr. Morton served two years on the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants Quality Review Committee and currently serves on its Management of an Accounting Practice Committee. In addition, he has served his town as the Chairman of the East Longmeadow Appropriations and Capital Planning Committees.
Mr. Morton has taught classes in managerial accounting and auditing as part of the Masters Program at Western New England College. He has served as a lead instructor for the Becker CPA Review Course for ten years and currently teaches several CMA Review Courses throughout New England.
Mr. Morton's experience in management accounting includes work with a major government contractor that required him to obtain knowledge of cost accounting standards and rate calculations. He has many years of experience dealing with manufacturers and has worked with a variety of computer packages. His over seven years experience as a controller has given him a unique perspective that serves as a tremendous benefit when dealing with the challenges faced by his small business clients. He also has extensive experience working with family owned businesses both as advisor and as a member of their management team. He works with many of the area banks and finance companies to assist his clients with their working capital and equipment needs.
Carol J. Nelson, CPA
Ms. Nelson has worked in public accounting since 1984. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Ms. Nelson is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Certified Public Accountant. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Ms. Nelson works mostly with individuals and small to mid-sized closely held businesses providing tax, accounting, and consulting services. She has extensive knowledge of various accounting programs and provides training and consulting to her clients and their bookkeepers. She has been employed at Boisselle, Morton & Associates, LLP, since November 2002, at the time she and her family relocated to the Western Massachusetts area. Prior to that date, Ms. Nelson was employed by a Certified Public Accounting Firm in Central Massachusetts for nineteen years.
Ms. Nelson also earned a Certificate in Human Resource Management from Assumption College. She is a past member of the Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society where she was on the recruitment committee for new students. She is also a past board member of the Westborough Music Parents Association where she was involved in various fundraising activities. Ms. Nelson has and continues to serve as a volunteer in other various community and school activities.
Joseph P. Wolkowicz, CPA
Mr. Wolkowicz has 11 years experience in both public and management accounting. He has 2 years experience working as an accountant for a multi-million dollar for-profit corporation and 9 years experience working in public accounting. Mr. Wolkowicz has substantial knowledge in regards to non-profit auditing, consulting and tax filings. He currently manages over 20 non-profit client engagements, including schools, health and human service providers, religious organizations, membership organizations, and charitable organizations. Mr. Wolkowicz also has substantial knowledge in consulting, tax planning, and tax preparation for small businesses and individuals.
Mr. Wolkowicz has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Western New England College and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts. He serves on the Not-for-Profit Accounting and Auditing Committee and the Educational Foundation of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accoutants. Mr. Wolkowicz is also the chairperson of the Western Massachusetts Committee of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. He recently attended the National Not-For-Profit Industry Conference in Washington D.C. Mr. Wolkowicz is an active member of the Northampton Chamber of Commerce Generators Committee, and he also serves as a consultant to the Board of Directors for a local non-profit organization.
Elaine M. Hitchcock
Ms. Hitchcock earned a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts in 1985. She became a Certified Public Accountant and worked for a regional public accounting practice for seven years where she performed audits, reviews and compilations of small to mid-size businesses in various industries. After leaving public accounting she worked as an accounting manager for a non-profit corporation and later worked in the construction industry for ten years at the manager and controller levels. She has returned to public accounting and has been employed by Boisselle, Morton & Associates since 2004. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
